Stephen Lewis Foundationstephen-lewis-logo, a Canadian charity organization focused on fighting HIV/AIDS, has been funding Tateni for more than seven years, and is one of our most reliable partners. The Foundation supports Tateni’s administrative work by sponsoring the salaries of staff that the organization would otherwise not be able to pay.

University of South Africa (UNISA) – unisa-logoDepartment of Psychology of Education is the most important partner for our “Breaking the Cycle of Poverty” program. Together with the Department of Psychology of Education Tateni empowers our carers and beneficiaries, including orphans, vulnerable children and unemployed youth through education, guidance and counseling, and psychological assistance.

Help the Vulnerable in Africa (HEVA)heva, a German NGO, has been one of Tateni’s oldest and most reliable partners for more than 10 years. HEVA provides support when funds from the South African government are reduced due to financial crises or other unpredictable circumstances. This enables Tateni to continue working despite critical financial situations.

Soroptomist International Club Pretoria (SI)soroptomists-south-africa is a worldwide organization for professionals and those in management, working through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women and girls. SI Pretoria is a partner of Tateni since 2000 and supports us by paying a monthly stipend for four child carers who cannot be paid with the money from the Department of Social Development.  In addition, SI-Pretoria offers activities such as reading, painting, and development play to children that attend the St. Francis Drop-in Centre on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  In 2014 they revamped an old house to build a library for our beneficiaries and the members of the church of St. Francis.
